About Stickprovet



Behind this one-person-business is me, Annie. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

I have a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, but have since 2022 worked at the local yarn store Broderi & Garn. Since 2024 I’m making my own knitwear designs under the name of Stickprovet. 

I aim to make knitwear patterns that are fun to knit and easy to understand. I always enjoyed writing academic papers and for me, writing clear and concise knitting patterns are not so different. 

I work with modern designs, with focus on good fit and details. A good fit is one of the most important aspects for me when designing. This because this is one of the great advantages when making your own knitwear - you can adjust the garment after your own body. Therefore, I believe the pattern should enable and facilitate that as much as possible. 


    Furthermore, I enjoy playing with different yarns and compositions, and hope to inspire knitters to do the same with my patterns. Just changing the yarn can alter a model profoundly, and I find that both inspiring and challenging.
